After all the other steps have been completed, it's important to know where you site is appearing for any given keyword or phrase within the major search engines. This report will give you an idea of where you're starting from. From then on, your site's progress will be tracked across all the major search engines and directories and posted in a special location online or sent to you in email for you to view at your leisure. (contact me for an example) Each month, you'll get to see where your site is placing for specific keywords and within specific search engines and directories. Keep in mind that FLUCTUATION IS NORMAL. Being #1 for a particular keyword isn't as important as getting quality traffic - visitors who are really looking for what you have to offer - to your website. That is my ultimate goal with all this promotion. Because of that, with any of my monthly packages, I will ask you for access to your website's statistics. This is so that both you and I can understand how your search engine standings are affecting your website's traffic - ie: how many more visitors you're receiving on a monthly basis after the optimization and submission of your website is completed. If your site is brand new, it's likely to take at least three months before you'll start to see a trend - but that trend will most definitely be upward. If you don't know whether or not your site has web statistics active, I'll be happy to find out for you. I don't mind making the call to your web hosting company on your behalf. Web statistics do usually come with a hosting plan but it depends on the hosting company. It might be that you simply haven't used it since your site went online. Or it might be that you had to ask the hosting company to set it up for you. We'll walk through it together and get it figured out. Once you have all the pieces in place, it's important to see how they're working for you! |
