Gossamer Threads, Inc. calls Vancouver, British Columbia its home. We occupy the 9th Floor of The Sun Tower in downtown Vancouver, which features a magnificent view of the Coastal Mountains (when it doesn't rain). Founded back in 1995 by Alex Krohn, Gossamer Threads has since grown to 15 employees and counting.

Our primary focus is the development of web applications for tasks such as directory management, database management, web based email, community applications and more. We sell licenses to our products internationally, with clients from Greenland to Australia. Our client database ranges from small one-person operations to multi-national corporations.

With over 200,000 installed customers using our software, we're a self-sufficient, firmly established company.

One of the most frequently asked questions we receive is how we came about our company name. “Gossamer” is the silk woven by spiders, alluding to the fact that we are very much a web-based company. The word “Threads” follows naturally not only because it is an old Internet-related word, but because it also evokes images of creation.
